ALYSSA SKARBEK
VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Alyssa Skarbek is the Vice President of Human Resources at The Garrett Companies, where she leads strategic initiatives to support the company’s rapid growth and national expansion. Alyssa holds a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University. With a strong career spanning over a decade in human resources, Alyssa has held key roles including Director of Human Resources and Human Resource Manager, contributing significantly to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Before joining The Garrett Companies, Alyssa served as both an HR Consultant at a consulting firm and HR leader at a national retailer, providing expert guidance to clients and employees. Alyssa's leadership has been instrumental in The Garrett Companies' recognition on the prestigious National Multifamily Housing Council's 50 lists for Top Developers and Builders in 2024. She is passionate about organizational psychology, employee engagement, and leadership development. Alyssa is a Michigan Native, where she grew up as a competitive swimmer and major sports enthusiast. In her free time, she loves to cook at home and relax with her family.

Maddie Murdock is a Talent Acquisition Specialist at The Garrett Companies, based in Nashville, Tennessee. Maddie holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Baylor University With a strong foundation in education and recruitment, Maddie's career journey began as an elementary school teacher, where she fostered a passion for leadership and community engagement. Transitioning to Coppell ISD, she served on the Leadership Team before embarking on a career in corporate recruitment. Maddie sharpened her skills as a Recruiting Coordinator and Corporate Recruiter at Goosehead Insurance Agency, where she played a key role in talent acquisition strategies. Recently, she joined The Garrett Companies, bringing her expertise in recruiting top talent to support the company's growth and development. Maddie is actively involved in community initiatives such as the Junior League and Millions From One, where she fundraises for water wells in Africa.
