ALYSSA SKARBEK
Chief of staff / Vp of people & culture
Alyssa Skarbek, Chief of Staff / VP of People & Culture, plays a pivotal role in ensuring that The Garrett Companies' culture remains strong, proactive, and aligned with the CEO’s vision. She also oversees training, professional development, recruiting, and internal marketing efforts related to culture. A graduate of Purdue University, Alyssa joined the team in 2020 as a Human Resources Manager before being promoted to her current role in 2025. In addition to her responsibilities related to People & Culture, Alyssa is a member of the TGC Strategic Advisory team and sits on the board of the Garrett Family Foundation, where she helps the GFF team make a positive and substantial difference to surrounding businesses and individuals in need.
ANNA LARSON

Anna Larson joined The Garrett Companies in 2019 as the Communications Manager and now serves as Director of Training and Development. A graduate of Franklin College, Anna majored in International Business, Management, and Marketing. She leads internal training efforts and continues to champion professional growth through the internship and mentorship programs she helped establish. Anna previously led the company’s marketing team and now brings that strategic lens to her development work. Outside the office, you’ll find Anna running, traveling, serving in her local church community, and spending time with family.

MADDIE MURDOCK
internship & career development specialist
Maddie Murdock is the Internship & Career Development Specialist at The Garrett Companies. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Maddie holds a degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Baylor University. She began her career as an elementary school teacher, later serving on the Leadership Team at Coppell ISD before transitioning into corporate recruitment. She gained experience as a Recruiting Coordinator and Corporate Recruiter at Goosehead Insurance, where she focused on talent acquisition and candidate development. At The Garrett Companies, she now leads efforts to grow early talent pipelines and professional development initiatives. Maddie is active in her community through the Junior League and Millions From One.
