ABOUT GIP
Every summer, The Garrett Companies hosts a field of select interns for our Garrett Internship Program (we call it GIP). This is a premier internship experience – and is second to none in the fields of Real Estate Development, Construction, Accounting, Communications, and Investments. You will work with your department to create and accomplish work that builds value for our team.
WHO
WE ARE
We are a full-service Multifamily Development, Construction, Asset Management team with offices in Denver (CO), Indianapolis (IN), Greenwood (IN) and Nashville (TN). Our team of experts works in unison to entitle, develop, build, and manage multifamily projects across the country. We are currently active in 6 states and have completed over 50 projects in 17 states. After delivering over 17,000 apartment homes since 2014, we have become industry leaders in forecasting trends and delivering living options that find quick success in the marketplace. Our proprietary market research criteria paired with a disciplined business model reduces risk and allows us to create desirable, high-end multifamily housing that produces superior risk-adjusted returns. As a complement to high-end multifamily developments, we also specialize in mixed-use, retail, office, and restaurant development. We believe that through the relentless pursuit of excellence, we can become the most successful multifamily development company in the country. We want to be the best, and we are unapologetic about it.
AN IMMERSIVE INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
Our internship is so much more than just sitting in a cubicle all day. When you intern at Garrett, you immerse yourself in a hands-on environment full of risk-takers and culture curators all working toward the pursuit of excellence. Apart from your departmental tasks, you will collaborate with your fellow interns on a Service Project, hear from experienced industry professionals in our Speaker Series sessions, grow as an individual in our Leadership Workshops, and expand your knowledge of the real estate industry within our Development Sessions.
SUCCESS STORIES
Since 2019, more than 80 young adults have completed the GIP, resulting in professional growth and a clearer focus on career goals. Twenty GIP Alumni are currently working for The Garrett Companies in full-time positions.
